Brea, CA - Manny Pacquiao recieved a hero’s welcome at a charity basketball game in San Diego on Sunday. The Sarangani congressman, who arrived Saturday night, was presented resolutions from local officials declaring October 24th as Manny Pacquiao Day in San Diego and the state of California.
He also received the keys to National City. “I would like to thank all my fans who came just to see me. I’m not gonna to play (basketball) tonight, I’m just gonna coach them,” said the world’s top ranked pound-for-pound fighter.
Pacquiao switched duties with trainer Buboy Fernandez. Fernandez took the basketball court as the Pacman coached a basketball game between
Team Pacquiao and the Team Pogis.
Teams were made up of friends and family who sometimes play pick up basketball games with Pacquiao. Team pacquiao won 69-53. (Watch here)
