Q. What is IPTV?

A. Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) is a new method of delivering and viewing television programs using an IP network and high-speed broadband access technology.


Q. What is the difference between IPTV and Internet TV?

A. An IPTV channel distribution service is provided through a single mode of transmission on a fixed telephone network. However, Internet TV is broadcast through website and accessible anywhere in the world through the Internet.


Q. What are the advantages of IPTV?

A. IPTV is a digital service and, therefore, the quality of picture is much superior as compared to the existing analogue cable TV technology. It also facilitates the interfacing of a subscriber with a single service provider for the provision of telephone, Internet, and television services.

 

Q. The VOD program is suddenly cut off and goes back to the Menu caption. What do I do when this happens?

Q. I have just received my STB. When I turned it on, there is a message that says “To activate your account, please call our Customer Service Department at 1800-xxx-xxxx”.

A. STB Activation is done once the customer receives the equipment. To activate your account, please contact your nearest customer service toll free numbers:

Q. Aside from my monthly subscription fee, is there an additional charge in availing your service?

A. ABS-CBN will not charge you additional charges in your monthly subscription. However, please contact your Internet provider for any additional cost and limit in your bandwidth’s monthly capacity.

Q. How can I obtain a longer cable (Ethernet CAT5 cable) to connect the LAN Ethernet port to the Internet router?

A.You may call our Customer Service Department to order or go to your local computer store to avail an additional cable.
