REMITTANCE SPECIALIST
 (Technical Specialist)

JOB OBJECTIVE:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

A successful person in this role will be responsible in cash management, support as co-teller, and ensure compliance to regulatory requirements of the remittance business.

THE ROLE:

  • Ensures operations are fully compliant with regulatory requirements.
     
  • Acts as co-teller whenever the main teller is on a rest day, on-leave or support during peak periods.
     
  • Responsible in cash management of the remittance business. 
     
  • Coordinates with Business Unit Head in terms of rate setting, among others.
     
  • Performs customer service duties.

This person will report directly to the Business Unit Head for Remittance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree holder is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in money service or related industry.
     
  • Ability to speak Tagalog is a plus.
     
  • Excellent numerical competence and close attention to details.
     
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
     
  • Able to work independently and under pressure.
     
  • Willing to work long hours and during weekends.
     
  • Friendly, hard-working and people-person.

 REMITTANCE TELLER
 (Individual Contributor)

JOB OBJECTIVE:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

A successful person in this role will serve as teller and customer service provide, supports other operational requirements, and assist the remittance specialist(s) in implementing the regulatory requirements of the remittance business.

THE ROLE:

  • Attends to walk-in remitters e.g. order processing.
     
  • Answers general telephone inquiries on rates, charges, money transfer products/services, processes and procedures, and other public information.
     
  • Calls client on relevant/critical update on previous day’s transactions.
     
  • Retrieves daily status update reports for disposition; coordinates with fulfillment partner in Manila.
     
  • Prepares teller proof sheet.
     
  • Co-responsible with the Remittance Specialist for vault operations, including cash collection.

This person will report directly to the Business Unit Head for Remittance.
