It was a successful relaunch of TFC in Hongkong last weekend, April 6 and 7, 2008. A grand variety show “Kapamilya Invades Hongkong”, headlined by Mr. Randy Santiago, was thoroughly enjoyed by 4,000 OFWs and their families at the Chater Garden on Sunday afternoon. Kuya Randy promoted the event heavily by visiting the top-rated Filipino radio program, MetroPlus 1044AM Saturday night and several Filipino establishments around Hongkong Sunday morning. The show was made more memorable by the Pera o Bayong segment. The winner, celebrating her birthday, was in tears all throughout the tawaran portion and went home with HKD6,000 cash.
Monday night, April 7, was another TFC event, by-invitation-only cocktails at the exclusive The Cavern Bar at Lan Kwai Fong, attended by no less than the Consul-General of the Philippines to Hongkong, Honorable Alejandrino Vicente, and representatives from different Philippine Organizations and Companies based in Hongkong. An impromptu mini-concert provided by Randy Santiago with Art’s Band capped off the night of TFC presentations by TFC Marketing Manager for Asia-Pacific, Mike Constantino and Managing Director for ABS-CBN Australia and the Asia-Pacific, Mr. Billy Ick.
