Malaysian actress Carmen Soo returned to the Philippines just recently to endorse beauty brand Clinelle and to attend her fans day with Kahit Isang Saglit leading man Jericho Rosales. During an interview last February 6, Carmen admitted that she and Echo only had time to talk to each other during the fan meet. Although they were romantically linked during the run of their teleserye last year, Carmen emphasized that she and her co-star are really just friends. “Me and Echo are very great. Yesterday we had a fans day, he’s great, I think he is really, really busy promoting his album and he’s doing very well,” the actress related when asked if they already caught up with each other’s activities.
On the other hand, actor John Lloyd Cruz, who was also linked to Carmen sometime last year left for Malaysia last Sunday with Bea Alonzo to shoot some scenes for their movie Miss You Like Crazy. When asked if she had communicated with him Carmen said she wasn’t able to talk with John Lloyd. “No, the last time I saw him was at the Star Awards.” She however mentioned that she was able to talk to John Lloyd and Bea’s Malaysian co-star Hans Isaac and was able to tour him around Manila for a bit. Since she will be returning to Malaysia, she was asked if she can do the same for John Lloyd in her country and Carmen answered, “Hmm. I don’t know what’s their schedule like. I’m also working as well. If there’s a chance I’d love to. I’ve always been very proud of Malaysian spicy food. I’ve always challenged Filipinos to see if they can take the spiciness of it,” she said with a laugh. Carmen added that she finds John Lloyd a nice person and it would be hard not to like someone like him. “I don’t know him very well to say I like him as in like partner, but he’s a nice person. It’s hard not to like him and he’s always very courteous and a gentleman. Of course, he’s a great actor and I would like to work with him someday.”
When asked about her Valentine’s Day plans, the model-turned-actress was very pleased to say she’s got her family to celebrate it with. “Actually Valentine’s Day this year is a relief because it falls on the Chinese New Year, so I finally have a reason not to go out with someone, out to dinner. Chinese New Year to me is a family thing so wherever I am all over the world, I have to come back. It’s a family gathering.” Carmen also revealed that she has yet to find the man of her dreams to celebrate Valentine’s with. She said she wants to find someone who’s faithful to her and their relationship. “Being faithful is a rare qualtity nowadays. I also want someone who knows how to take care of themselves and take care of me. Someone who loves me. I have a passion in life and hopefully he’ll allow me to pursue it too.”
